OneWorld is a global community of over 1,500 organisations working for social justice. OneWorld harnesses the democratic potential of the Internet for human rights and sustainable development. Its super site www.oneworld.net brings together the best information from leading actors in these fields in one place.

The OneWorld network currently consists of 12 centres across the world. OneWorld South Asia, which produces Digital Opportunity Channel, is based in New Delhi, India, and has a network of over 200 organisations in the continent. The South Asian regional edition at southasia.oneworld.net provides a forum for news and features from partners about the key issues facing the region. OneWorld South Asia also produces www.LearningChannel.org, a global portal on education issues.

Thematic portals

Digital Opportunity Channel is part of a series of OneWorld portals to promote issues relevant to human rights and sustainable development. OneWorld today has four independent channels, each dedicated to a specific topic or audience: AIDSchannel.org, DebtChannel.org and LearningChannel.org and Digital Opportunity Channel.

Additionally, OneWorld centres across the world produce 11 region-specific online editions that highlight local development issues. These editions, not just in English, focus on Africa, South Asia, Latin America, Canada, Spain, Finland, Italy, UK, US, Austria and the Netherlands.
