Suomen Lähetysseura on myöntänyt rahalahjoituksen tulvan uhrien auttamiseksi.

Taiwan oli verkkaisen elämänmenon sävyttämä riisipeltojen saari, kun ensimmäiset Suomen Lähetysseuran työntekijät saapuivat sinne 50 vuotta sitten. Nyt lähetystyöntekijät elävät kiirettä sykkivissä suurkaupungeissa. Jokin on silti säilynyt samana: taiwanilaisten rakkaus yhteisöllisyyteen.

China’s roaring economy is being fuelled by a dangerous cocktail of coal, oil and nuclear power. But there’s also a fast-growing renewable sector – and a rising sense of urgency around efficiency improvements.
"Against the backdrop of global warming, more and more strong and unusual climatic and atmospheric events are taking place," says head of China Meteorological Administration.
