La notizia � stata immediatamente ripresa dal governo nicaraguense per dimostrare gli importanti risultati ottenuti da questa amministrazione a livello diplomatico, ma nessun accenno al fatto che il paese continua a figurare in questa lista. Quanto per� peser� veramente questa misura per il Nicaragua? Secondo una prima analisi emessa dall'economista indipendente Adolfo Acevedo Vogl, il debito si ridurrebbe a 3.921 milioni di dollari, pari al 81% del Pil. Se al debito estero restante aggiungiamo il debito interno, che si calcola in circa 1.300 milioni di dollari, il debito pubblico totale, anche con questo misura che allieva il debito estero, rester� eccessivamente alto, elevandosi al 108% del Pil.
