17 aprile, EXA chiamata in tribunale 04/13/2005 Tutto pronto a Brescia per il Tribunale popolare che domenica 17 aprile vedrà imputata EXA – la fiera di armi leggere che verrà contestata da un’azione dei Gruppi di Azione Nonviolenta (GAN). Dal rapporto sulle armi leggere pubblicato da Archivio Disarmo si apprende che l’Italia è il secondo produttore al mondo di armi leggere e di piccolo calibro ma ha una legislazione sulla vendita che non prevede controlli né sanzioni. Una libertà di movimento per le armi anche verso paesi colpevoli di gravi violazioni dei diritti umani, sottoposti a embargo dell’Onu o dell’Ue e paesi con guerriglie in corso sul proprio territorio. Tra questi troviamo Colombia, Indonesia, Cina, Russia, Israele, Sierra Leone e Congo. Per frenare questo commercio viene promossa la Camapagna globale Control Arms, che chiede la promulgazione di un Trattato Internazionale sul Commercio degli armamenti. Una nuova legge per disarmare la Lombardia 04/13/2005 Ha preso il via la campagna a sostegno della legge di iniziativa popolare per la riattivazione e l’estensione dei compiti dell'Agenzia regionale per la riconversione dell'industria bellica. La raccolta firme si conclude il 17 settembre 2005 e propone una "nuova" legge regionale di iniziativa popolare sulla riconversione. Il nuovo Consiglio Regionale sarà quindi chiamato a discutere questa proposte – e a dare un segnale importante affinché nella Regione si possano fare politiche di pace e di disarmo. La campagna verrà rilanciata in occasione del “Processo a Exa” che la Rete dei Gan e Rete di Lilliput drammatizzeranno di fronte a Exa, terza fiera sulle armi leggere che si tiene a Brescia distretto lombardo che esporta il 31,9% del totale italiano di armi e munizioni.
