Dopo che lo scorso anno dodici banche di diversi paesi (Germania, Italia, Svizzera, USA) hanno rifiutato il finanziamento ad un impianto nucleare a Belene, un'area ad alto rischio sismico, la Bulgaria intende ora chiedere assistenza finanziaria alla Commissione Europea - informa la Campagna CRBM. "Se la Commissione darà la sua approvazione, Belene diventerà allora elegibile per prestiti dall'Euratom e dalla Banca Europea degli Investimenti, istituzioni che si basano sulle tasse pagate dai cittadini di tutta Europa. E una tale valutazione potrebbe provocare un ritorno di interesse per il progetto da parte delle banche private" - avverte la Campagna che chiede di inviare una email di protesta alla Commissione Europea. Tra i possibili finanziatori vi sarebbe anche l'italiana Enel, riporta BankTrack.
